What we're building

European enterprises want AI capabilities without surrendering their data to US jurisdictions. DeepMask operates entirely within Germany's sovereign cloud, serving as the technical bridge between 30+ global AI providers and organizations bound by GDPR, DORA, and strict data residency requirements.

We're building real infrastructure for real compliance constraints — multi-tenant, production-grade, with zero data retention with upstream providers.

What you'll work on

• AI integrations — abstract provider differences so users can switch between models mid-conversation without losing context. This involves state management, streaming, and tool-calling across dozens of APIs.

• Enterprise features — SCIM provisioning, SSO, immutable audit logs, permission models. You'll work directly with security teams at banks and industrial companies to understand what they need, then build it.

• Platform reliability — you'll own what you ship, investigate issues in production, and make the call on how to resolve them. No dedicated DevOps layer between you and the system.

• Customer conversations — occasional technical calls with enterprise customers to translate compliance requirements into product decisions.

Who you are

• 3–6 years shipping production systems, ideally in B2B SaaS or regulated industries

• Comfortable across the full stack — database design, API architecture, frontend logic, production debugging

• You understand LLMs as systems with real constraints, not just APIs to call

• You're good at turning vague requirements into concrete solutions — you write the ticket after talking to the customer, not before

• EU residency required — timezone overlap with Munich and familiarity with the regulatory landscape matters here

How we work

Small teams (2–3 engineers) working around initiatives, ship, then move on. You'll work directly with our CTO on architecture and with the sales team on technical customer calls. Most of the team works Munich hours — we value focused work over meeting culture. The hard decisions happen in pair sessions, not status updates.

Our process

A 45-minute technical culture conversation, a short practical exercise (real-world feature extension, pair or take-home), a system design discussion, and reference checks. Most candidates complete this within two weeks.
